WA: Road toll down for 1999
PERTH, Jan 1 AAP - Police say a drop in the annual number of people killed on Western
Australia roads was because people were taking more care on the roads.
For 1999, there was a total of 218 fatalities on WA roads compared to 223 the previous year.
Of the 218 fatalities recorded in 1999, only 88 were in the metropolitan area compared
to 103 the year before.
