Qld: Nurses get a pay rise today
More than 20,000 Queensland nurses in more than 400 public hospitals and other health
facilities will receive a 3.5 per cent pay rise today.
Queensland Nurses Union secretary GAY HAWKSWORTH says the rise is the second instalment
of rises agreed to under the Queensland Health enterprise bargaining agreement.
The first rise of three per cent was paid on April 1 last year.
Ms HAWKSWORTH says nurses will get an extra $20 to $40 a week depending upon their
classification.
